VT for Pipe is designed for fast takeoff from profiles.  But you can also work from plans, schedules, specifications just as easily.  The system lets you input data in any order, or edit data at any time.  If you are working form a plan without invert elevations, simply enter a single plug number for inverts until you have the invert information in front of you--no need to flip back and for between documents.  The same techniques let you swap structure types, pipe types, and more either one-by-one, or using the Bulk Update feature.

Quality Control

VT for Pipe features several reports and tools to insure great takeoff quality control.  You can see how every pipe is bedded, or how every excavation cross section is set up for your jobs.  You can report on all data you entered and determine high/low values for inverts, rims, pipe slopes, pipe lengths.  And, during takeoff the system will warn you of incorrect data entry such as inverts higher than rims, excessively deep trenches, duplicate trenches and more.

No Structure Double Counting

With VT for Pipe you will never count a structure twice again.  Each structure exists only once in the database unlike on a spreadsheet-based takeoff.

Group by Bid Item, Job Phase

You can group your reports and takeoff by bid item and/or job phase at any point in your takeoff.  This means you can respond to special request from the owner for breakdowns and alternates without reworking your whole takeoff.

Specialized Calculations

A quick download and trial of VT for Pipe will let you explore the additional pipe takeoff calculations we perform such as the roadway stone calculator to determine full-stone backfill segments, lateral and structure stone allowances, automatic determination of fitting depths, flagging and tagging of special conditions.

Grade Point Calculations

VT for Pipe lets you enter numerous grade points during takeoff to allow for pavement changes, swales, or general grade changes for a trench.  No matter what, the result will be accurate, standardized reporting of pipe lengths within your custom depth classifications.

Fastlane provides you with the best of support.  Our new online support community gives you access to an online knowledge base and issue reporting tool.  Alternatives to the online community include email and phone support.

Online License Management

Coming soon, Fastlane will let you purchase and administer your software licenses online and without the need to get in touch with Fastlane Tech Support.  You will have total control over your company users and installations.

Custom Reporting and Data Management
