| VOICE ENTRY |
Voice activated takeoff is a patented method of entering your
construction material quantities using voice recognition technology
instead of a keyboard. The estimator speaks numbers and material types into a
headset microphone that is connected to a personal computer.
Some examples of the types of things you say instead of type in our
VT for Pipe product are shown below along with the action the program
takes after you say the phrase. Visit our videos
page to see Fastlane products in action.

methods of typing and using the mouse.

Voice recognition on personal computers has been utilized for
a number of years in the medical, law, and administrative professions. The
first users of speech applications in these fields were often frustrated with
the accuracy and speed of the software but recent advances in speech programs
and personal computers has changed that. The result has been an acceptance of
speech as a fast, accurate, and simple way to dictate, enter data, and navigate
complicated user interfaces. Most users are surprised and pleased with the
degree of accuracy they achieve in a short time with all of Fastlane's
products.
